About the Role
The Project Manager II is responsible for leading complex, cross-departmental projects and continuous improvement initiatives that span multiple functional areas across the firm. This role partners closely with executive sponsors, senior leaders, functional managers, process engineers, and subject matter experts to deliver outcomes aligned with enterprise priorities. The Project Manager II plays a critical role in identifying interdependencies, surfacing risks and connections that may otherwise be missed, and ensuring alignment across teams. Success in this role requires a balance of rigorous project management discipline, strong business acumen, and high emotional intelligence.
Your Key Contributions
- Lead full lifecycle execution of complex, cross‑functional projects—using methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid, or DMAIC—to ensure delivery on time, within scope, and with defined operational outcomes.
- Identify and manage project and cross-department risks, dependencies, and constraints while maintaining key project artifacts—including plans, timelines, RAID logs, and dependency trackers—and escalating issues as needed for alignment and resolution.
- Apply systems thinking to understand how work in one area impacts the broader organization.
- Serve as a strategic thought partner by providing structure, insights, and recommendations.
- Identify, engage, and manage diverse stakeholder groups to ensure alignment across teams with competing priorities.
- Facilitate discussions and decision-making with senior leaders, balancing strategic goals with operational realities.
- Lead effective project meetings, working sessions, and decision forums that drive clarity and action.
- Translate complex information into clear documentation, timelines, and communications tailored to various audiences.
- Maintain consistent, transparent communication regarding project status, risks, decisions, and next steps.
- Manage project dashboards and reporting tools to provide leadership with visibility and transparency.
- Ensure seamless transition to business and operations teams by clearly documenting processes, decisions, and ownership.
- Document current‑state and future‑state workflows through process mapping and collaboration.
- Capture lessons learned and contributed to EPMO standards, templates, and best practices.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and cross‑team execution.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, Business Administration, Operations, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of demonstrated project management experience, including complex, cross-departmental initiatives.
- Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid, DMAIC).
- Project Management certification strongly preferred.
- Lean or continuous improvement experience is preferred.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Strong planning, organization, and prioritization skills.
- Experience developing and maintaining project documentation, plans, and SOPs.
- Ability to understand business objectives and translate them into executable plans.
- Strong judgment in balancing scope, timelines, risks, and organizational capacity.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and helping others find clarity.
- Exceptional written communication and documentation skills.
- Strong meeting facilitation skills, including guiding discussions, managing conflict, and driving decisions.
- Ability to tailor communication for executives, managers, and delivery teams.
- High EQ with the ability to build trust and credibility across teams.
- Skilled at influencing without authority and navigating competing priorities.
- Calm, thoughtful presence when managing change, tension, or complexity.
- Self-directed, proactive, and accountable with a strong sense of ownership.
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM Local Time.
