Description

Summary:      

The Real Estate Paralegal will assist up to four attorneys with business formations, real estate transactions and closings, and other organizational and administrative duties.

Essential Job Functions:        

  • LLC formation documents and operating agreements
  • Purchase and Sale Agreements, Leases and other real estate documents, and preparing summaries of such documents
  • Coordinating, calendaring and tracking due diligence items and critical dates for transactions
  • Title commitments, title insurance policies and surveys
  • Research of property information on assessor and other websites
  • Commercial Real Estate Closings, including preparing closing checklists, closing documents and settlement statements
  • Loan Closings
  • Preparing Closing Binders and following up with outside parties post-closing
  • Competent with Outlook, Word, Excel, iManage and other software programs
  • Ability to multitask various projects
  • Professional interaction with clients and other parties
  • Assist professionals with client projects and project management

 

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to work successfully with
  • multiple team members, interacting with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Competent to handle a variety of activities with attention to detail and quality, with the ability to follow through and follow up, and adapt to quickly meet changing deadlines and priorities.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks and a high volume of work on short deadlines and follow through on assigned tasks with limited supervision.
  • Retain a high level of flexibility and resourceful problem solving. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

 

Educational and Experience Requirements:

  • High School diploma
  • Paralegal associates degree or other relevant certification preferred
  • Prior litigation experience required
  • 5 years of relevant experience as a paralegal

 

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

           

  • Ability to work extended hours when necessary.
  • Normal office environment; no unusual physical demands.
  • In office position
