Marsh McLennan See More Job Openings by This EmployerWe are seeking a talented individual to join our Benefits & Executive Compensation team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in NYC. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Join our team as you report directly to the Chief Counsel for Benefits & Executive Compensation, where your expertise in federal labor, particularly ERISA, tax, and securities law, will play a pivotal role in shaping our benefits and executive compensation strategies. We will count on you to:
Advise our business leaders regarding benefits and executive compensation risks in connection with mergers and acquisitions.
Assist in the preparation of disclosure regarding benefits and executive compensation to meet our obligations as a public company.
Work with other practice members in supporting our global HR and Finance colleagues as they manage existing benefit programs, maintain their compliance in the face of changing law and regulations, and evaluate and implement new benefit programs.
Assist with executive compensation and equity compensation design, administration and compliance as needed including stock and incentive plans and related agreements.
Review benefit and executive compensation-related communications from an ERISA fiduciary and/or plan sponsor perspective.
Work as part of a team adjudicating and responding to ERISA benefit claims.
What you need to have:
Law Degree with a minimum of 2 years of Benefits and Executive Compensation experience
Similar experience working in a top-tier law firm or in a large, complex multinational enterprise.
Advisory experience for ERISA fiduciaries and their delegates on meeting their obligations under ERISA.
