E-Logic is seeking a Computer Support Technician to provide dedicated technical assistance in support of the United States Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Texas (USAO DMN). This contractor position plays a key role in addressing the information management and technology needs of the office. The role involves aspects of IT systems and network administration, requiring specialized expertise in IT processes, procedures, and best practices. The selected contractor will operate under the direct supervision of the USAO DMN IT Systems Manager and IT Specialist, delivering high-quality, dependable technical support as part of E-Logic's ongoing commitment to excellence in federal IT services.
Responsibilities:
- Testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, maintenance, and management of networked systems for data, voice, and/or video transmission, ensuring system availability, functionality, integrity, and efficiency.
- Configuration, installation, and maintenance of networked systems.
- Optimizing systems performance, troubleshooting database performance problems, and performing a wide range of systems administration functions.
- Installing, upgrading, troubleshooting, testing, and maintaining operating systems and associated devices.
- Ensuring the availability, integrity, efficiency, and reliability of servers.
- Performing assignments related to ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, security, and availability of systems, networks, and data.
- Performing routine assignments in support of the Office intranet and internet sites, including converting content into workable web pages, checking links, and repairing errors.
- Providing IT customer support, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance, inventory management, and/or training in response to user requirements.
- Ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data through the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools.
- Safeguarding equipment, information, or data under the contractor's control to prevent compromise, alteration, damage, loss, or improper dissemination.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of the principles, methods, and practices for integrating information system components sufficient to plan, coordinate, administer computer systems, and optimize system performance.
- Knowledge of the latest advancements in technology to initiate corrective or preventative action to ensure optimum performance of the system.
- Knowledge of performance tuning tools, database management, and project management methods sufficient to optimize systems performance, troubleshoot database performance problems, and perform a wide range of systems administration functions.
- Knowledge of operating systems, associated devices, and the interoperability of systems.
- Ability to apply methods and practices for troubleshooting, recovering, adjusting, modifying, and improving systems to solve complex problems and provide support that minimizes interruptions in service to customers.
