See More Job Openings by This EmployerThe Medical Legal Coordinator/Assistant works directly with our Med Legal Administrator to coordinate and oversee the medical legal scheduling and reporting process. A successful candidate will have a sharp eye for detail and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
What you will do:
- Answering phones, setting appointments, report processing & coordination of records.
- Collect pertinent claim information from medical providers, insurance carriers or attorney’s including medical records, work abilities, and appointment information.
- Prepare and send correspondence to various recipients at the direction of the Administrator
- Document file notes with pertinent information in a clear, easily understood manner.
- Ensure that work is performed in accordance with Company standards, training, and supervisory direction.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Assumes other responsibilities as appropriate to the position and organizational needs
Qualifications:
- Minimum2+years of experience in a medical clinic or physician’s office.
- One-year data entry experience, preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of Workers' Compensation
- EMR experience (IMS preferred)
- Ability to work independently
- Required education: High school or equivalent
Compensation Range:
$25.00 to $29.00 Hourly
All compensation ranges are posted based on internal equity, job requirements, experience, and geographical locations.
