Working for a company that invents entire categories and industries means you’ll be challenged to creatively apply your deep legal expertise to rare and often unexplored aspects of the law. \\n\\nAs Senior Health Privacy Counsel you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and experienced team on privacy issues impacting Apple’s business and products globally. You will work directly with business and engineering teams to design innovative privacy solutions for products as well as across the legal department on Apple activities and regulatory issues.

You will be responsible for advising and providing support on privacy related aspects for various health and research projects and work alongside legal, engineering and business teams. This role will report through the Privacy Legal team and advise the business and engineering teams on cutting-edge health privacy issues.

Deep understanding of health and general privacy laws, regulations, requirements and industry best practices.\\nAdvising the business on legal, regulatory, and business standards. \\nSupporting and monitoring a privacy program, as needed, to ensure that technology and business processes meet applicable legal requirements. \\nCoordinating internal and external investigations, compliance reviews and monitoring activities. \\nIdentifying and communicating potential risks areas with leadership. \\nStaying informed of and properly communicating any changes to or developments in privacy laws, regulations, standards, and guidance.

7+ years of experience (either at a major law firm and/or in-house) in health privacy law and/or health research.\\nKnowledge of comprehensive privacy laws, and regulatory and other guidance and standards.\\nUnderstanding of US state and federal sector-specific privacy laws, including health privacy laws, as well as research based laws and requirements.\\nExperience providing strategic and practical advice to product, business, and engineering teams.\\nExperience advising on regulatory compliance and inquiries.\\nJD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar.

Able to clearly organize and inform through excellent written and verbal communications. \\nAbility to lead, take action, and provide direction in the face of ambiguity.\\nExperience quickly issue-spotting, analyzing, and clearly communicating privacy advice on complex legal issues.\\nAbility to get results in diverse, fast paced environments.\\nStrong analytical capability with attention to detail. \\nAbility to partner at all levels of the organization.
