Job Description
The Office of Professional Conduct (OPC) is an independent office established by the FDIC Board of Directors. OPC is responsible for the intake, review, and investigation of complaints against FDIC employees and contractors about harassment, interpersonal misconduct, and retaliation. When allegations are substantiated, OPC determines discipline and ensures accountability. The duty station will be determined upon selection.
Duties At the full performance level, major duties include: Provides authoritative legal advice and counsel within OPC and with Corporation officials about OPC-related matters. Serves as the Corporation's legal representative in labor and employment related administrative and judicial proceedings involving OPC-related matters. Prepares legal briefs, office memoranda, policies, standard operating procedures, and other documents governing and guiding OPC operations. Develops and presents training on OPC-related matters. Salary- $140,612 - $257,500/year
