Duties
- Prepare legal documentation and opinion delineating facts and points of law.
- Perform extensive and detailed research in technical aspects of claims activities during preparation of each case and is responsible for the factual completeness and accuracy of case files.
- Analyze prior decisions and court cases to determine the effect of those decisions on the right of the United States to assert a claim against the third party.
- Analyze and evaluate all facts and evidence to determine legal issues and sufficiency of evidence or documentation.
- Maintain the databases and manage the day-to-day administrative operation of claims.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
