Job Purpose:
This role is designed to provide hands-on legal and compliance experience within the TruStage Legal Department. Candidates will have the opportunity to apply what they have learned in a classroom environment while gaining new skills in a dynamic professional setting.

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide legal research support to in-house attorneys and compliance professionals, including but not limited to insurance, lending, and marketing regulation, privacy, and corporate regulatory law.
- Assist in communicating legal and compliance requirements and, in some cases, partnering directly with business teams to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory obligations.
Job Requirements:
- Working towards a law degree (JD)
- Strong legal research, analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Skills Demonstrated: interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent communications skills
- Intellectual curiosity and the desire to learn
Preferred Experience:
- Must be currently enrolled in law school (preferably 2L), working towards a law degree.
- 2L law student with an interest in administrative law and/or financial services regulation.
- Coursework or experience related to Administrative Procedure, regulatory agencies, and/or the financial services industry is a strong plus, although not required.
- Strong computer (MS Office—Word, Excel, Outlook), analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn.
- Honesty, integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality are required.
- Ability to think, act, and prioritize in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.

Base Salary Range:
