Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Talent Acquisition Recruiter to assist with the full-cycle recruitment of attorneys and legal professionals. This role focuses on partnering with hiring managers, evaluating top-tier legal talent, and managing the offer and hiring process. The Talent Acquisition Recruiter plays a key consultative role within the organization and ensures a best‑in‑class candidate and hiring‑manager experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with hiring managers to understand business needs, role requirements, and ideal candidate profiles for legal positions.
- Conduct in‑depth interviews to assess legal expertise, competencies, and cultural fit.
- Evaluate candidate career progression, writing samples, bar status, and specialized practice‑area qualifications.
- Manage ongoing communication with candidates to ensure a strong candidate experience.
- Lead offer development, negotiation, and closing strategies to secure top talent.
- Collaborate with the Sourcing Specialist to align on sourcing strategies and target profiles.
- Review and refine sourced pipelines presented by the Sourcing Specialist — not conduct high‑volume sourcing or resume screening.
- Provide direction on sourcing priorities for hard‑to‑fill roles or specialized practice areas.
- Build strong relationships with practice group leaders, firm leadership, and external recruitment partners.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to hiring.
- Stay informed on legal hiring trends, compensation benchmarks, market shifts, and competitor practices.
- Represent the firm professionally to enhance employer brand within the legal community.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software.
Qualifications:
- Skilled interviewer with the ability to evaluate complex legal backgrounds.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Proven ability to recruit and close attorney and legal professional talent.
- 3–5+ years of recruiting experience, within the legal industry is a plus.
- Strong strategic thinking, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
- Knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruiting software (ADP/ Greenhouse preferred)
Physical Requirements:
- Office environment with normal business hours necessary to satisfactorily perform job functions.
- Stationary Position – Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.
- Move or Traverse – This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, office machinery, etc. May occasionally ascends/descends the stairs to get to other floors, cafeteria and parking area.
- Dexterity – constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as a copy machine/printer.
- Move, Transport, Position, Put, Install, Remove - Occasionally moves supplies weighing up to 10 pounds for various presentation and event needs.
- Communicate, Detect, Converse with, Discern, Convey, Express oneself, Exchange information - The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Detect, Determine, Perceive, Identify, Recognize, Judge, Observe, Inspect, Estimate, Assess - The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
