Attorney I

Attorney I: 

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university; and
• Juris Doctor (or equivalent) degree from an accredited law school; and
• License to practice law in North Dakota or become licensed in ND or in house counsel certificate. 

• Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
• This position is located on site at the MDU Resources Corporate Campus in Bismarck, ND
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
• Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
• May be required to maintain a valid driver’s license.

• Assist the Chief Legal Officer in providing legal advice to the internal staff and senior management of MDU Resources Group, Inc. and its subsidiaries.
• Assist the Chief Legal Officer in the coordination of the activities of outside counsel.
• Provide legal assistance to internal staff and management of MDU Resources Group, Inc. and its subsidiaries in areas such as finance, SEC disclosure, securities, corporate governance, employee benefit plan matters, contracts, real estate, labor and employment matters, claims and litigation, utility law and regulations, and compliance.
• Perform other tasks and special projects, as assigned.

Offers for this role are typically made within this range: $94,460 - $118,080
