Essential Duties

As an Administrative Assistant in the District Attorney’s Office, you’ll play a critical role in keeping legal operations running smoothly. This is a fast-paced, detail-driven position where your organization, discretion, and communication skills truly matter.

In this role, you will:

  • Be the first point of contact, assisting the public, attorneys, and law enforcement
  • Prepare and manage legal documents and discovery materials with accuracy
  • Track case information and maintain organized, up-to-date records
  • Draft subpoenas, legal correspondence, and court-related documents
  • Coordinate with law enforcement on document service and case needs
  • Support attorneys with case preparation and administrative tasks
  • Process billing and maintain financial tracking for discovery services
  • Ensure all work is handled with strict confidentiality and professionalism

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to learn legal software and systems quickly
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Helpful (but not required):

  • Experience in a legal, court, or government setting
  • Familiarity with legal terminology or billing processes

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Collaborative team setting within the District Attorney’s Office
  • Regular interaction with attorneys, law enforcement, court staff, and the public
