Job Description
- Represent landlords and tenants in litigation and negotiations.
- Handle disputes involving housing and real estate in NYC Housing Court and Supreme Court.
- Conduct legal research and provide strategic case analysis.
- Draft and review contracts, leases, and other legal documents.
- Advise clients on real estate transactions, property rights, and compliance matters.
- Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and case updates.
- Manage case intake and preparation for hearings and trials.
- Stay current on landlord-tenant laws and real estate regulations.
- Attend in-person hearings, consultations, and trials as required.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the New York State Bar.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in landlord-tenant litigation and real estate law.
- Strong knowledge of NYC housing laws and property regulations.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
- Effective negotiation skills for resolving disputes.
- Proficient in legal research tools and case management software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
