Job Description:

Darktrace is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join our team in Arlington, Charlotte, or Dallas. This role offers exceptional career growth, a fast-paced environment, and the chance to make a tangible impact in a high-profile, innovative company.

As Senior Legal Counsel, you will partner closely with our commercial legal team as well as colleagues across the GTM and Global Partner Organization functions, playing a key role in driving the company’s continued success.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Commercial Contracts: Drafting and reviewing commercial contracts in response to questions and comments from the company’s growing customer base. These commercial contracts include software license agreements/master services agreements with end users, resale and distribution agreements with partners, data processing agreements, and advertising, marketing, and other commercial agreements to support strategic growth.

  • Channel Sales: Provide legal support and thought leadership in support of all matters relating to Darktrace’s fast-growing channel sales and Global Partner Organization.

  • Federal Government Contracting – support the growth in all matters relating to Darktrace’s Federal business in its sales to the Federal government.

  • Operations Support: Working cross-functionally with various stakeholders including the Global Sales and Partners Organization, Finance, and Deal Desk to ensure fast and efficient delivery of legal support in support of scale.  

  • Project Management: Driving progress on and coordinating legal team projects and assisting wherever needed as Darktrace grows and scales.

  • Legal Research: Conducting legal research as needed.

  • Hybrid minimum 3X per week in-office role with occasional travel required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A member in good standing with the North Carolina, Virginia, or Texas Bar with at least 5-8 years of a combination of experience at leading law firm practicing transaction work and in a fast-paced in-house legal department.

  • Deep experience in supporting channel sales and Federal contracting.

  • Strong work ethic, highly motived and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

  • Ability to work independently on a variety of projects, including managing and prioritizing multiple deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills, including both oral and written.

  • Ability to execute high quality and consistent work while under pressure and on tight timelines. We expect rapid and accurate turnarounds to support our sales other objectives.

  • Comfortable interacting with all levels of the company’s personnel, including management.

  • Proactive in building relationships across teams and offices. 

Salary: $200,000-$230,000
