As we scale, we are seeking a Legal Assistant Manager to lead the Legal Assistant Supervisor team and drive the strategic direction, operational excellence, and cross-functional integration of our legal support function.This leadership role is ideal for someone with a strong background in legal operations, team leadership, and process optimization. You will be responsible for overseeing multiple teams of Legal Assistants through a team of Supervisors, ensuring that performance, quality, compliance, and client service standards are consistently met or exceeded.Responsibilities
· Manage and mentor a team of Legal Assistant Supervisors, each leading their own teams of Legal Assistants.
· Ensure consistent execution of policies, workflows, and best practices across all teams.
· Lead regular leadership meetings to align priorities, address escalations, and share updates.
· Analyze performance metrics, QA outcomes, and workload reports to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
· Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Legal, Compliance, Client Services, HR) to ensure seamless legal operations.
· Own legal support process documentation, updates, and change management initiatives.
· Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards across all legal support processes.
· Oversee the Quality Assurance (QA) program in partnership with supervisors, using findings to coach and refine team performance.
· Monitor escalated client concerns, supporting resolution while ensuring a client-first, compliant approach.
· Drive the development and performance of the supervisor team, including coaching, 1:1s, and performance evaluations.
· Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and compassionate service.
· Identify and implement improvements in workflows, tools, or structure to support long-term scalability and efficiency.
· Support the Director of Client Services and Administration with planning, resourcing, and departmental strategy.
· Lead or participate in company-wide projects that impact the legal support function.
Qualifications
Required
· Paralegal certification or 5 years of relevant legal assistant/paralegal experience.
· 2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience in a legal support, paralegal, or high-volume administrative environment.
· Extensive experience navigating court systems across multiple jurisdictions, with a strong understanding of jurisdictional nuances and procedural requirements.
· Proficient in legal terminology, able to interpret and communicate complex legal language accurately and efficiently.
· Demonstrated expertise in e-Filing across various jurisdictions, ensuring effective management of related communications.
· Comprehensive experience preparing and processing a wide range of court filings, including but not limited to Initial Pleadings, Responses, Discovery, Motions, Orders, and Stipulations.
· Proven ability to manage high volumes of legal documents, maintaining precise digital organization and document control within fast-paced environments.
· Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
· Experience navigating court websites and understanding docket entries.
· Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
· Effective communicator, both written and verbal, with demonstrated ability to coach others and give constructive feedback.
· Proficiency in using digital tools for task management, document review, and communication (e.g., Outlook, CRM platforms, Case Management Systems).
Preferred
· Background in debt resolution, consumer protection, or civil litigation.
· Experience managing remote teams.
· Proficient in multi-tasking in a fast-paced work environment
· Above average skills in Microsoft Word and Outlook and general knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Excel
· Experience using Case Management software
· Comfort with evolving processes and ability to lead teams through change.
Full Time (Exempt)
Monday through Friday EST schedule (9:00am - 5:30pm)
$70,000 Annual Salary (Firm)
