The Opportunity
We're seeking a highly experienced Litigation Legal Assistant who can hit the ground
running and provide comprehensive litigation support with confidence and independence.
This is a critical role supporting our attorneys in fast-paced employment litigation matters,
and we need someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and takes pride in their
expertise.
What You'll Do
- Provide full-spectrum litigation support from case inception through trial and resolution
- Prepare, format, and file pleadings, motions, discovery documents, and correspondence in state and federal courts
- Manage e-filing in state and federal court systems with accuracy and timeliness
- Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, mediations, and case management conferences
- Organize and maintain case files, documents, and exhibits using case management systems
- Assist with discovery management, including organizing documents, preparing bates-stamped exhibits, and tracking deadlines
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and expert witnesses
- Prepare attorneys for depositions, hearings, and trials by organizing materials and exhibits
- Monitor and track critical litigation deadlines and court calendars
- Handle administrative tasks including transcription, billing support, and correspondence
- Work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with the legal team
What We're Looking For
- 3-5 years of solid litigation experience as a legal assistant or secretary
- (employment law experience is a plus)
- Fully functional and confident in handling litigation support independently
- Expert knowledge of state and federal court procedures, rules, and filing requirements
- Proficiency with e-filing systems (CM/ECF for federal courts and state court portals)
- Strong technical skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and case management software
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and stay calm under pressure
- Proactive problem-solver who anticipates needs and takes initiative
- Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
