Job Summary:

Americas Auto Auction Group is seeking a diligent paralegal to join our highly collaborative team.   The ideal candidate is adept at multitasking and client support and has previous experience working for a corporate legal team.   Americas is a growing company that values its employees as its most valued asset.   As a paralegal for America’s Auto Auction Group, you will assist with legal matters, compliance matters, and licensing.  This position works under the supervision of the CFO.  

Responsibilities include:

• Lead and coordinate responses to audits and compliance needs.

• Monitor and anticipate annual audits, coordinate all the fact finding, compile responses, and respond in a timely manner.

• Maintaining a repository of audits that can be referred to in other or future audits.

• Provide subject matter expertise by responding to inquiries from all America’s departments regarding the proper application of compliance laws, regulations, and related requirements.

• Manage America’s audit functions regarding timeliness, effectiveness of audit reports, findings, and follow-up.

• Provide regular and consistent updates, reporting to Management and the Audit Committee regarding the adequacy of management responses to audits and/or target dates for remedial action.

• Responsible for licensing, including applying for renewals and managing the renewal process, ensuring licensing is submitted timely with all necessary documentation, and following up on all outstanding license renewal activities.

• Participating in coordinating initiatives, including drafting, responding to, and calendaring multiple documents.

• Calendaring deadlines and important dates.

• E-Filing; drafting correspondence.


Requirements

Requirements

• Paralegal certification is highly preferred.

• Experience with licensing preferred

• Experience working in corporate practice is highly preferred

• Excellent computer skills, including Word, excel, adobe, and legal software

• Ability to work proficiently and independently in legal research, drafting, evaluating, revising, or developing legal documents, notices, and forms.

• Must be self-motivated and work effectively with multiple projects and deadlines and minimal supervision.

• Display superior attention to detail, problem-solving, and strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.

• Outstanding time management and organizational skills are required to handle multiple initiatives and meet deadlines timely.

• Successful candidates can prioritize many projects and systematically stay on top of all litigation matters’ status, deadlines, and requirements.
