Job Summary

The Senior Litigation Paralegal is an experienced, full-time professional who will provide advanced support to our in-house Legal team in litigation, arbitration, agency investigations and claims management.  Working closely with members of the Legal team as well as cross-functional stakeholders, the Senior Litigation Paralegal will assist and handle a wide range of matters, including legal research, fact investigation, organization and maintenance of complex claims files, document collection, production and preservation, and trial/arbitration support.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform all elements of litigation and arbitration case management, primarily in the areas of employment, intellectual property, and commercial litigation. 

  • Assist attorneys with case preparation, including fact investigation, legal research and document analysis.

  • Collaborate with with in-house attorneys, outside counsel and business stakeholders to facilitate investigations and responses to government agency charges and investigations.   

  • Draft, review and format pleadings, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas and other litigation documents.

  • Liaise with members of the internal Legal team, outside counsel, insurance carriers, business stakeholders, government entities and vendors to gather information and coordinate activities to manage claims defense. 

  • Oversee the collection, organization, production, and preservation of documents for discovery, while developing and maintaining efficient systems for managing case files.

  • Manage and update litigation claims tracker.

  • Maintain litigation/arbitration calendars and track deadlines, and appropriately distribute information to in-house attorneys.

  • Manage and assist with finalizing witness affidavits.

 Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a cordial professional demeanor.

  • Extremely well-organized self-starter that has the ability to meet deadlines and adapt to constantly shifting priorities and allocating resources and time effectively.

  • Superior attention to detail and discretion when managing confidential matters is a must.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote, SharePoint and litigation support software.

  • Ability to work independently, but also collaborate effectively with all colleagues.

  • Diligent, dependable and motivated work ethic.

  • Strong sense of accountability.

 Requirements - Education, Experience, and Physical

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree

Education or Certificate Details

  • Bachelor’s Degree and paralegal certificate (preferred) with comparable experience 

Work Experience

5+ years as litigation paralegal, preferably with 3 years at a top tier law firm 

Physical Requirements

Precise hand/eye coordination

Basic keyboarding or other repetitive motions
