Duties If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for enforcing Federal Criminal and Civil laws that protect life, liberty, and the property of citizens. You will support Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSAs) by providing a variety of legal assistance on cases involving illegal immigration, illegal trafficking of human beings or dangerous drugs, and targeting the Cartels and Transitional Criminal Organizations (TCOs), including those designated as Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs) and Specially Designated Global Terrorists (SDGTs) pursuant to Executive Order 14157. If selected, you will receive formal and/or on-the-job training as needed. Typical work assignments will include: examining, preparing, and processing a variety of technical documents, e.g., complaints, motions, orders, answers, pleadings, and subpoenas providing assistance to attorneys in trial preparation and discovery assembling exhibits, affidavits, and other legal documents assembling and organizing files and records materials for disposition or transfer to records depository maintaining calendar of assigned active cases tracking filing, hearing and trial dates, and scheduling conferences and interviews other related duties in support of the mission Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress. Salary- $40,332 - $64,952/year
