Job Description

Our firm is committed to delivering exceptional legal services.  We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Nurse Paralegal to join our team. This role is ideal for a licensed nurse with legal experience or a paralegal with a strong clinical background who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze medical records to identify relevant facts, timelines, and potential issues.
  • Identify deviations from standards of care and assist in evaluating liability and damages.
  •  Prepare detailed medical chronologies and summaries to support case strategy and expert review. 
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, mediations, and trial.
  • Communicate with medical providers, expert witnesses, and clients as needed.
  • Conduct medical literature research to support case strategy.
  • Support attorneys in all phases of litigation, including discovery, trial preparation, and settlement evaluation.
  • Maintain organized and accurate case files, ensuring all medical documentation is properly indexed and accessible.
  • 120 billable hours per month. 
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Active RN or LPN license preferred; paralegal certification a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of prior legal experience in insurance defense or medical malpractice strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, procedures, and documentation.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
