Attorney - Special Projects
Legal Aid of Western Ohio, Inc. (LAWO), a non-profit law firm that provides high-quality legal assistance to eligible low-income individuals and groups in western Ohio, seeks a resourceful, culturally competent, hardworking paralegal. This position will be located in the Dayton office.
This paralegal position will focus on providing support to attorneys in the representation of Veterans; This position will also involve significant outreach efforts with community-based partners. Other areas of practice may be assigned as needed.
Ability to relate well with and commitment to legal services for diverse people with low incomes, and strong legal research and writing skills required. Applicant should have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, be computer proficient, and work well in a team environment. Paralegal experience preferred, including experience working on housing law and related case areas. Fluency in Spanish preferred but not required. Remote work is likely; however, some travel and in-person work are required.
