Job Description:
Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and professional Paralegal to join our legal team. The Paralegal will provide legal and administrative support to our team of attorneys, assist with litigation management, draft contracts, oversee all legal operations technology, and maintain an organized and up-to-date work management system. This position requires a high degree of self-direction, professionalism, technological aptitude, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
Litigation:
o Assist with oversight of outside counsel and liaising with insurance carriers and administrators and MLB counsel, handling various types of litigation, including general liability, workers compensation and employment litigation.
o Maintain a litigation log, summarizing key litigation information for club counsel, ensuring that deadlines are tracked and met.
o Assist with the discovery process including investigations, document gathering, and responding to discovery demands and subpoenas.
o Manage workers compensation process, including gathering records and responding to subpoenas.
Contracts:
o Draft various types of agreements and amendments or revisions, including advertising and sponsorship agreements, suite agreements, special event and hospitality function agreements, location agreements, miscellaneous marketing and promotional agreements, purchase and services agreements, independent contractor agreements, vendor agreements, general releases and waivers.
o Gather contract information from other departments to ensure completion, accuracy, and compliance with organization policies.
Administrative:
o Point person in the department for all legal operations technology, such as contract management software (Ironclad), document management software (iManage), document signing software (Adobe Sign & DocuSign), and matter tracking software for calendaring, tracking and reporting (Asana).
o Conduct legal research.
o Perform administrative tasks as assigned, including processing invoices and scheduling meetings.
o Must maintain highest level of professionalism and confidentiality of all legal work product.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of relevant paralegal experience (e.g., in-house legal department, law firm, or equivalent environment).
· Proficiency with legal operations technology (Ironclad, iManage, Asana), Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook), Adobe Acrobat & Sign, and DocuSign.
· Exceptional oral and written communication skills required.
· Corporate and/or litigation experience (as a paralegal or equivalent), sports industry experience, and the ability to read, write and communicate in Spanish (including communicating with outside counsel and reviewing and translating legal documents), is preferred.
· Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.

Salary Range:
$90,000-105,000
