The Workplace Experience (WE) Manager is an integral part of Latham’s Workplace Experience team and will be responsible for the development and execution of strategies and procedures employed at the local offices to deliver a best-in-class experience for personnel and clients of the firm, whether remote or in-person, while creating development plans that are aligned with business needs and individual development needs. The WE Manager in our Washington, D.C. office will lead the strategic and day-to-day operation of the WE department, in collaboration with a peer manager. The role’s focus includes, but is not limited to: team leadership, planning and execution of internal and client meetings taking place in the onsite conference center, offsite attorney event coordination, and hospitality services (hoteling and visitor space experience, reception desk) and serving as a champion of office culture. Please note that this role requires onsite presence at our Washington, D.C. office.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Implementing department visions, engaging with others around that vision, and establishing supporting goals to achieve that vision
- Being a resource and business partner to firm partners, leaders, attorneys, and other key stakeholders in managing and setting direction for high-quality workplace experience initiatives
- Providing expert-level subject matter knowledge in collaboration with other business service teams to foster fully integrated workplace experience solutions
- Developing ways to break down silos across departments, proactively taking charge, and managing cross-functional teams to accomplish goals
- Recruiting and training talent, identifying professional development opportunities for the team, and effectively coaching the team and individuals to enhance their performance and achieve desired outcomes
- Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Possess knowledge of health and safety standards and regulations
- Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing and navigating various technology platforms and applications
- Exhibit the ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and occasional weekend shifts
And have:
- A bachelor’s degree, preferably, or comparable years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- A minimum of seven (7) years of hospitality or customer service management experience
- Experience in hotel management, facility/office management, law firm, or corporate environment
