About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Personal Injury Legal Assistant to support our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of experience in personal injury law, exceptional organizational skills, and a strong ability to manage cases efficiently from intake through resolution. This role requires someone proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in all aspects of personal injury cases, including client intake, case management, and document preparation.
- Draft, proofread, and file legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings.
- Manage case files, including medical records, discovery, and settlement documentation.
- Communicate effectively with clients, medical providers, insurance companies, and court personnel.
- Schedule and coordinate appointments, depositions, and court appearances.
- Maintain case calendars and deadlines to ensure timely filings and compliance with court rules.
- Conduct legal research and summarize relevant case law, statutes, and regulations.
- Support attorneys in trial preparation, including exhibit organization and witness coordination.
- Perform other administrative tasks as required to support the legal team.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 2–5 years of experience as a legal assistant in personal injury law.
- Strong knowledge of personal injury procedures, medical terminology, and insurance processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficient in legal software (e.g., Clio, MyCase, or similar), Microsoft Office Suite, and document management systems.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience with court filing procedures, both electronic and physical, preferred.
