Job Summary:

The Legal Assistant assists the AnovoRx General Counsel in performance oversight and handling of all legal aspects of licensure and transactional matters related to Anovo. The below is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job and is not to be construed as an exhaustive statement of essential functions, responsibilities, or requirements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

1.Obtain and maintain all pharmacy, wholesale and 3PL licenses, controlled substance permits, and controlled substance unexpired, and keep tracking sheets and license folders updated.

2.Obtain and maintain all Medicaid and Medicare numbers unexpired and keep tracking sheets and credentialing folders up to date.

3.Assist Counsel with timely responses for internal and external audits, update payer audits on spreadsheet, calendar the audits, prepare audit cover letter and submit audit response

4.Assist Counsel with revision of policies and procedures, and related change control documentation and change communication.

5.Act as primary preparer of credentialing and revalidation responses for payer, NCPDP, PECOS, and NPI requests, and keep credentialing folder and spreadsheet up to date.

6.Perform monthly prescriber license verification.

7.Assist Counsel with reporting and researching requirements to report any business changes, such as changes of control, changes of DR or PIC, acquisitions, location opening or closings.

8.Alert Counsel to any identified deficiencies or issues (i.e. issues with renewals, lack of a needed license, HIPPA violations, payer or provider unrest).

9.Focus on resolving issues, and providing polite, professional and appropriate responses to Anovo staff and external customers.

10.Provide monthly updates for each Medicaid portal.

11.Regularly update NCPDP and NPI portals

12.Format documents and prepare excel and word spreadsheets, power points, organization charts and Visio charts.

13.Special projects as assigned.

14.Regular and reliable attendance expected.

15.Other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.


Minimum Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills Required

1.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

2.4 years of healthcare experience.

3.3 years of experience in pharmacy licensing or legal department.

4.Experience with preparation of pharmacy license applications or Medicaid provider applications.

5.Strong computer skills with expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and able to use databases.

6.Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality laws.

7.Excellent written and oral communication skills.

8.Ability to relate to all audiences.
