Litigation Paralegal

$55,993 - $69,422 minimum starting pay

Job Level: Individual Contributor

Shelter maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in geographic location, education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands.  Please remember that this range is the starting base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position.

What You Will Be Doing:

Support Litigation Attorneys with investigation and research for various legal or factual issues. Maintain and update various legal databases for Litigation Department. Organize and draft initial discovery responses directed to Shelter Insurance Companies. Oversee company-wide e-discovery management and documents retention for the department. Prepare and update preliminary "form" discovery for lawsuits.

What We're Looking For:

• Superior verbal communication skills and highly developed organizational skills
• Ability to interpret and use legal research
• Demonstrate superior performance in English, communication, and law
• Paralegal or comparable designation desired
• Knowledge of litigation process and procedures
• Experience with attorney(s) involved in litigation, preferably insurance defense
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation
