
Job Description
Actively seeking a Paralegal with previous experience with lease proposals, lease renewals, verification of legal business names as well as organization of lease documents. This position is 100% on-site at a well-established commercial real estate firm in Baltimore, MD!
Responsibilities:
- Managing the administrative functions related to initial drafting of new leases, lease proposals, and lease renewals, verification of legal business names as well as organization of lease and lease-related documents
- Maintain all lease templates, communicating with Attorneys as needed on form changes
- Determine and track and assist in the processing of amounts due for any broker commission in executed lease documents
- Prepare lease abstracts in preparation for final lease execution
- Administer the execution process of all lease documents, including coordinating return documents to tenants and brokers
- Access & track tenant eligibility to exercise any lease options for leasing agents
- Prepare & track any monthly status reports regarding upcoming lease expirations and proactively review and create renewal documents for leasing team
- Assist & track and communicate to Leasing team on Lender Consent requirements for the portfolio
- Perform lead role in managing Leasing Department CRM program
- Assist leasing team with input and management of data within CRM program.
- Assist with input of leads, deals and tours as well as lifecycle of all deals and renewals within CRM program
- Run reports from Lease Administration & CRM software as needed for the leasing team. Identify key dates and track all deal related items in CRM program.
- Assist other market leasing teams on lease document execution
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Legal field preferred
- Previous lease administration, real estate accounting, contract management with a minimum of 5 years.
- Ability to interpret a commercial lease
- Previous experience as a paralegal is a plus
- Strong planning and problem-solving skills
- Ability to be proactive in spotting potential issues and coordinating possible resolutions
Pay range $80,000 to $85,000 annually.
