Litigation Associate Attorney

## Overview WiseLex BPO is seeking a dedicated Litigation Associate Attorney to join our team in Denver, Colorado. This role focuses on investigating and defending first- and third-party insurance claims across a range of matters, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, rigorous analysis, and informed advocacy. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and is committed to delivering practical, outcome-driven solutions. ## What You'll Do - Investigate and defend first- and third-party insurance claims, including personal injury, construction, premises liability, coverage disputes, and bad faith matters - Manage and take depositions, including preparing witnesses and developing deposition strategy - Draft dispositive motions, memoranda, and comprehensive coverage opinions - Attend court hearings, conduct examinations under oath, and engage in settlement negotiations as appropriate - Collaborate with in-house counsel, claims professionals, and clients to develop defense strategy and trial readiness - Analyze complex insurance coverage issues, policy language, and applicable law to support defense or dispute resolution - Maintain meticulous case files, track deadlines, and ensure adherence to all regulatory and firm standards - Mentor junior associates and contribute to professional development initiatives as needed ## What We're Looking For - Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school - Active Colorado Bar admission (or eligibility for admission with admission within a reasonable timelines) - 3+ years of civil litigation experience within a law firm - Demonstrated experience in insurance defense, personal injury, or insurance coverage matters - Strong research, writing, and analytical skills; ability to craft persuasive motions and legal opinions - Excellent oral advocacy, negotiation, and communication skills - Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple matters simultaneously - Local candidates based in Denver, Colorado; this is a 100% onsite role with no relocation provided ## Why WiseLex BPO - Opportunity to contribute to a growing insurance defense practice within a collaborative, supportive environment - Hands-on litigation experience across a broad spectrum of insurance-related matters - Clear path for professional development and advancement within the firm - Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package ## Qualifications & Requirements - Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school - Bar Admission: Active and mandatory admission to the Colorado Bar - Experience: 3+ years of civil litigation experience within a law firm - Preferred Background: Prior experience in insurance defense, personal injury, or insurance coverage ## Location - Denver, Colorado (100% onsite; no relocation provided) ## Application Materials Required - Resume - Cover letter - Salary expectations - Writing sample ## Compensation & Benefits - Salary Range: $125,000 – $185,000 per year - Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO), Long-Term/Short-Term Disability (LTD/STD), Life Insurance, and on-site parking
