Description

Lima One Capital, the Nation’s Premier Lender for Real Estate Investors has an exciting Commercial Legal Analyst position. This position plays a vital role within the Special Servicing department focused on high risk; commercial loans securitized by residential properties. They will work with law firms, borrowers, vendors, and internal team members to communicate and track issues applicable to the Special Servicing Department.


Responsibilities:

  • Serve as direct POC for investor and legal representatives for high risk/high UPB delinquent loans. Monitor and ensure that necessary actions are being completed for loans in the Special Servicing delinquency portfolio. 
  • Monitor legal performance to drive rapid resolution. Ensure timelines are being met and that recovery is being aggressively pursued.
  • Develop strategic resolution plans at both loan and portfolio levels.
  • Prepare and review monthly status reporting for high risk/high exposure delinquent loans.
  • Review and improvement of processes to reduce risk around high UPB/high risk loan portfolio.      
  • Completes, monitors progress, and ensures deadlines are met for invoice approval, foreclosure breach letters and foreclosure referrals.
  • Responsible for timeline management of foreclosures and bankruptcy loans and movement through the milestones   
  • Requires ability to engage with counsel and vendors in a professional manner as needed.
  • Performs other projects as assigned by Management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Relevant career experience will be considered
  • 5-7 years of direct commercial foreclosure and/or bankruptcy mortgage servicing related experience
  • 5-7 years of commercial real estate experience with emphasis on non-performing properties
  • Commercial work out experience
  • Asset Management experience preferred
  • Legal training or law firm experience preferred
  • Must be a self-starter with excellent time management skills and be able to work independently
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision and manage tight deadlines
  • Familiarity with United States Bankruptcy Court PACER system
  • Familiarity with Black Knight BK/FS
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Highly organized
