Position Overview
The primary focus of this role is patent preparation and prosecution in EE/CS-related technologies, with opportunities to support post-grant proceedings, freedom-to-operate and infringement analyses, litigation support, and IP due diligence. Attorneys in this group work closely with emerging companies, global technology leaders, and venture-backed startups across a wide range of fast-moving technology sectors. The position offers a hybrid schedule based in Washington, DC, with remote flexibility considered for qualified candidates.

Telecommunications and wireless systems
Computer software and user interface technologies
Semiconductors and processing systems
Artificial intelligence and machine learning
Blockchain and distributed ledger technologies

Attorneys in this group regularly advise on strategic patent portfolio development, licensing and transactions, and inter partes review (IPR) proceedings, often in parallel with litigation. Requirements
Undergraduate or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
2–4 years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution
USPTO registration required
Strong academic credentials
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, client-facing environment
Benefits
Salary range: $235,000 – $310,000, depending on the responsibilities of the position and the experience, education, and skills of the candidate
