Headquarters in Richmond, Virginia but with offices throughout the country, this position can be flexible. If desired, this position can be fully remote, hybrid, or in office. The option is also there for full or part-time work. The choice is yours!
Qualifications:
- J.D from an accredited law school and a current member in good standing of one or more state bars (preference for Tennessee State Bar, or able to waive in).
- 2+ years of corporate contracting experience in information technology and technology transactions.
- Experience in healthcare transactional law is preferred but not required, including HIPAA, HITECH, and data privacy laws.
- Knowledge of healthcare related IT agreements is preferred but not required, such as SaaS, data-sharing, and technology licensing agreements.
- Proven ability to handle complex contract negotiations and provide clear, concise legal advice.
- Understanding of cloud-based healthcare technologies and services.
- Prefer familiarity with emerging healthcare technologies, such as telemedicine, electronic health records (EHR), and health information exchanges (HIEs).
- Knowledge of intellectual property laws as they pertain to technology and healthcare.
- A strong academic record and references.
- Dedication to excellent client service and have a passion for the practice of law.
