- Purpose of Position
The objective of the Clerical / Records Intern is to support the Todd County Attorney’s Office with maintaining files and following the mission of the office by performing various required clerical functions.

County Attorney Records Processing
- Electronically scan and save department data as directed.
- Purge data (electronically and/or physically) as directed per agency data retention policy.
- Effectively communicate with office staff.
- Perform all office tasks as directed, professionally and confidentially.
- Minimum Education and Experience/Special Requirements
- The student must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution (minimum of part-time) when applying for the internship or will be enrolled for the fall semester. The field of study should be relative to this internship.
- Must be a first-time internship, applicant may not repeat the program and is limited to one agreement.
- Must be 18 years old at the start of employment
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- The individual must possess computer skills in Windows based programs, record keeping and filing skills, and an ability to communicate with others effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information that is maintained by the County Attorney’s Office.
- Ability to communicate with others effectively in writing, and type communications.
- Knowledge and training in computer usage, telephone and public relations skills, record keeping and filing skills.
- Must be able to be take work direction from office staff as needed to perform the duties of this position.
Physical RequirementsThis work requires the occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force; work regularly requires sitting, speaking or hearing, using hands to finger, handle or feel and repetitive motions and occasionally requires standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, reaching with hands and arms, pushing or pulling and lifting; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data, operating machines and observing general surroundings and activities; work has no exposure to environmental conditions; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic).
- $20/hour
