As a valued colleague on the Legal and Regulatory Risk Assessment team, you will provide expert advice on assessing and identifying potential risks that may threaten the company’s reputation, safety, security, and/or financial success. You will engage with key stakeholders across the enterprise and understand business objectives.
THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE
The Legal and Regulatory Compliance Lead role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
- Guide team in preparing analyses and reports used to determine business areas that pose potential risks to the enterprise and evaluate the impact of proposed risks to the enterprise.
- Lead team in monitoring information and processes to reduce risk using rigorous analysis.
- Document resolutions and control guidelines.
- Guide team efforts to review business strategies and make decisions that will drive success in the face of shifting consumer behaviors and regulations.
- Lead projects, targeted reviews and gap analyses and produce high-quality work products that require minimal review and revision.
- Author and maintain governance documents.
- Provide guidance and support to other team members in areas of subject matter expertise such as a tool, particular law/regulation, risk assessment or area of compliance.
- Demonstrate decision making skills and good judgment on issues, analyses or projects and move projects forward with limited guidance. Independently work with stakeholders across the team and enterprise.
- With oversight and guidance from your supervisor, you will present to senior management or the regulator.
THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Minimum Required Experiences
- 4 years related experience in areas such as risk assessment, risk management, legal and regulatory change management, or compliance reviews.
- Strong writing and communication skills and ability to present to colleagues, senior management and regulators.
- Experience in gathering accurate information to explain concepts and answer critical questions.
- Relationship management including managing and engaging stakeholders and building relationship networks.
- Skilled in Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
Desired Experiences
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Experience in conducting impact and risk assessments, evaluating controls, identifying control gaps, remediating risk, etc.
- Experience in influencing including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict.
- Skilled in creating visual concepts, creating and editing content with software or by hand to communicate ideas.
- Skilled in using Adobe Acrobat/Foxit PDF Editor, including Adobe Pro, Acrobat Reader, Acrobat, and Acrobat.com.
- Experience using SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Visio.
- Experience using RiskWorks, Archer, or similar GRC platform.
