Key Responsibilities
Answer and direct phone calls; greet and communicate with clients in a professional and courteous manner
Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and track deadlines
Draft and proofread correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents
Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files
Request, review, and track medical records and bills
Assist with intake of new clients and case setup
File documents with courts and manage service of process
Communicate with courts, insurance companies, medical providers, and other parties as needed
Perform general administrative tasks to support the practice
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
Previous experience as a legal assistant, administrative assistant, or office assistant preferred
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel); familiarity with legal software is a plus
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a small office environment
Preferred (But Not Required)
Experience in personal injury or civil litigation
Familiarity with Virginia court procedures and deadlines

The ideal candidate will provide administrative and case-related support to the attorney, helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the firm. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, organized professional who enjoys working closely with clients and taking ownership of their work.
