You’ll be a core member of an in-house legal team, providing substantive support across litigation, pre-litigation, and business transactions. This is a hands-on role with substantial variety. No two weeks are exactly the same.
Litigation & Case Management- Draft and file pleadings, and manage responses to basic discovery
- Maintain litigation tracking systems that capture case status, deadlines, service of process, settlement posture, and key hearing dates ensuring attorneys and business stakeholders are always in the loop
- Monitor, communicate, and confirm all filing deadlines are accurately docketed
- Arrange depositions and prepare supporting materials
- Manage legal mail, service of process, and document organization including familiarity with Adobe Pro, redacting and Bates numbering
- Other tasks as assigned
- Draft business correspondence and engage professionally with opposing counsel and outside parties
- Serve as a trusted point of contact across various departments,a genuine collaborator for the legal team who builds honest, productive relationships with stakeholders at every level
- Partner cross-functionally on special projects and broader legal department initiatives
Qualifications
- 3+ years of litigation legal assistant experience, ideally with exposure to business, real estate, landlord-tenant, and post-judgment collection matters
- Solid working knowledge of civil procedure in state court and demonstrated proficiency with e-filing systems
- Command of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, and Westlaw
- Exceptional written communication — precise, professional, and polished
- The organizational instincts to juggle competing priorities without dropping the ball
- A collaborative mindset and the flexibility to adapt as priorities shift
- Notary license preferred
- A college degree or equivalent experience is preferred

CompensationThe salary range for this position is $80,000 – $95,000 annually; the posted range is flexible depending upon experience and skill level. Potential for a performance bonus. Your starting rate will be determined based on your skills, experience, and qualifications.
