Job Description

  • Manage all bookkeeping and accounting functions for the firm.
  • Record cash deposits and pay invoices using QuickBooks Online (approximately 300 per month).
  • Conduct check runs for over 300 checks per month.
  • Perform cash account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to negotiate liens with medical providers, insurance companies, and other entities.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal reporting policies.
  • Work closely with the firm’s leadership and external accountants to support financial operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping, preferably in the legal industry.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including debits, credits, and general ledger management.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
