
Intellectual Property Legal Assistant - On-Site Role in Miami
Cole, Scott, & Kissane See More Job Openings by This EmployerCole, Scott & Kissane, an AV-rated litigation firm, is seeking a full-time, experienced Litigation Legal Assistant for its Miami office. The ideal candidate will work for two attorneys in federal court and therefore, federal court experience is required. Intellectual property experience is a plus but not required. This position requires strong organizational skills, ability to perform well within a team environment, and communicate professionally with clients and opposing counsel.

Job Duties:

Support attorneys with complex business litigation in federal and Florida courts

Draft legal documents and assist with U.S. trademark applications and TTAB proceedings

Manage multi-party case files and organize large volumes of records

Conduct legal research using Westlaw and prepare summaries

Schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, and meetings

Handle electronic filings through PACER, ESTTA, and other court platforms

Prepare presentations and manage case materials using Microsoft Office, Adobe, and database tools

Communicate with clients and team members in both English and Spanish

Track deadlines and keep cases moving efficiently under time-sensitive conditions
Legal Assistant Requirements and Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in a legal assistant role within a law firm

Bilingual: fluent in English and Spanish

Solid background in business litigation and familiarity with court procedures

Experience with trademark filings and TTAB matters

Skilled in legal research and use of Westlaw

Proficient with PACER, ESTTA, TTABVUE, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and virtual collaboration tools

Strong organizational and time management skills

Able to prioritize, work independently, and handle a high-volume workload with accuracy
