Position Summary:
Provides administrative and legal support for the Legal and Tax areas of Achieva Family Trust (“AFT”). Performs information management, prepares and reviews trust-related documents, corresponds with individuals concerning trust matters, notary services, and provides administrative support. Completes special projects as assigned and detailed by the Trust Attorney, Vice President of AFT, and/or the President of AFT. Reports to the Trust Attorney and receives assignments from the entire legal team.
Responsibilities:

Supports the achievement of individuals’ personal outcomes;

Performs detailed information management by maintaining accurate and up-to-date databases on trust beneficiaries;

Prepares and manages various trust-related documents, up to and including the drafting and review of such documents;

Corresponds with attorneys, beneficiaries, family members, and others in regards to potential or existing trust matters (via phone, email, and other channels);

Assists with the opening and closing of trust accounts;

Provides administrative support such as scheduling, record-keeping, and general office functions;

Assists in the administration of the payments received and sent for the Income Spend Down Trust program; the opening and closing of accounts for Income Spend Down Trusts; and other related matters to ensure compliance with program requirements;

Performs notary public services;

Assists with other trust administration functions and projects as assigned;

Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-
Equivalent of an Associate’s degree in related field;
-
Must either currently be a Pennsylvania Notary Public or willing to become a Pennsylvania Notary Public within 6 months of employment;

Excellent in-person, phone, and email communication skills;

Proficient computer skills;

Prior office experience;
-
Experience and interest in a disability-field preferred;

Experience and interest in the area of estates and trusts preferred;

Must meet Act 33 and 34 and FBI clearance requirements.
