
Job Description
Hill Ward Henderson seeks qualified legal assistant candidates for their Bankruptcy and Creditor's Rights/General Litigation Department supporting multiple attorneys. This is an in-office position. Candidates should have the following:
Description:
- Prepare, draft, and review legal documents such as petitions, declarations, and bankruptcy schedules
- Process and file various bankruptcy case forms and documents
- Maintain confidentiality and properly handle sensitive client information
- Communicate with clients and court officials to schedule appointments, hearings, and meetings
- Monitor case progress, follow up on deadlines, and keep the attorney updated
- Organize and maintain case files, client correspondence, and other related records
- Assist attorneys in the preparation for court hearings and client meetings
- Handle client queries related to the bankruptcy process
- Ensure all legal practices and procedures comply with federal and state laws
Requirements:
- Two (2) years’ experience in a commercial or civil litigation practice.
- Knowledge of Federal and Florida state court rules is strongly desired.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, client-oriented focus, professional demeanor, initiative, analytical thinking, attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Candidates must also have solid computer skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with a Document Management System is a plus.
