Profile OverviewThe client operates a law school admissions support website with a growing audience of students navigating the application process, transitioning into law school, or beginning their legal careers. They are seeking a writer with strong newsletter experience, ideally with an understanding of higher education or legal pathways. Interviewing alumni and drafting semi-timeless and timely content are key components.
Scope- Commitment: Estimated 6–12 newsletters per month.
- Duration: 12-month ongoing relationship preferred.
- Content Type: A blend of evergreen and time-relevant newsletters, ranging from 500–1000 words.
- Develop engaging, lightly humorous, and easy-to-read newsletters tailored to different stages of a legal education journey.
- Create both evergreen content (e.g., “6 months after graduation”) and current updates (e.g., monthly insights).
- Conduct interviews with alumni or relevant subjects as needed.
- Collaborate primarily with the co-founder, with occasional input from a small internal team.
- Operate independently with minimal oversight after initial onboarding.
- Assist in transforming a casual email touchpoint into a branded, strategic content initiative.
- Proven experience writing newsletters (preferably in the education, career, or legal sectors).
- Comfortable conducting interviews and incorporating insights into written content.
- Ability to balance humor and professionalism in tone.
- Self-directed and capable of working independently.
- Bonus: Background in law school or graduate education process.
