Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Operations Specialist to join our dynamic legal team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate governance, contract management, and legal operations. You will collaborate closely with attorneys and other business units, supporting key legal initiatives and ensuring seamless integration of legal processes across the organization. Primary Responsibilities

  • Contract Management: Report on upcoming contract renewals and expirations to relevant business units. Prepare and draft contracts using approved language repositories and playbooks under attorney supervision.

  • Corporate Governance: Draft internal corporate consents for governance changes, including officer updates and legal entity modifications. File required Secretary of State documents in coordination with the licensing team.

  • Intellectual Property & Compliance: Track the intellectual property portfolio and alert the Legal team to upcoming deadlines. Assist in generating insurance certificates using online systems.

  • Legal Technology & Document Management: Support and maintain legal technology solutions, including contract lifecycle management tools. Manage agreement templates and standard form documents, ensuring records are updated and accurate.

  • Administrative & Collaborative Support: Compose and proofread correspondence. Facilitate internal communication, resolve inquiries from operational units, and collaborate with coworkers on legal projects. Attend internal and external meetings to support organizational initiatives.

  • Special Projects: Lead or support various legal initiatives and projects as assigned, ensuring deadlines and business objectives are met.

Primary Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a legal or business-related field.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Familiarity with legal technology tools, contract management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to collaborate across departments.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards in documentation and legal processes.

  • Experience drafting and managing legal documents under attorney supervision is a plus.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
