Play a leading role in operational risk improvement at Amazon.com, where we have a tradition of leading the world in innovative technologies and services. Amazon is seeking an experienced Paralegal who will work with the Corporate Auto Team and Amazon’s Defense Counsel on litigated complex bodily injury (BI) claims for Amazon’s expanding worldwide delivery fleet.
Key job responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities within the Corporate Auto Team, you will support the team focusing on litigation management, discovery, litigation process improvement, third party administrator (TPA) programs across all logistics programs. Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Utilize analytics, metrics, and benchmarking to evaluate trends and make recommendations for process improvements to, and the performance management of, outside counsel and TPA partners handling litigated BI cases.
• Coordinate and support ongoing litigation and respond to internal legal inquiries.
• Work closely with internal teams to strategize on ways to streamline processes and find solutions to enhance processes for litigation related tasks.
• Partner with internal customers to identify and preserve discovery items and evidence.
• Liaison between outside counsel, Risk/Legal Managers and internal stakeholders in gathering of documentation needed to respond to discovery requests.
• Support risk managers and internal and external stakeholders on discovery process
• Perform other litigation management tasks
• Some travel may be required.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience as a paralegal handling auto liability litigation including a strong understanding of the litigation process.
- Be able to excel in a fast-paced collaborative environment
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage workload and multiple deadlines.
- Experience with project management.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills
- Problem solver

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
