Remote, Contract-based Family Law Attorney Opportunity - 0–5 Hours/Week (Research & Drafting)

We are a national network of experienced, high-level, freelance attorneys and paralegals who provide remote, on-demand support for both short-term and long-term legal projects for our client law firms.

Due to increased demand, we are now interviewing for a qualified, experienced, and dedicated Family Law Attorney to provide high-level legal research and drafting support.

This is a fully remote position with an anticipated workload of approximately 0–5 hours per week. While the client is based in New Mexico, New Mexico licensure is not required. A California-licensed attorney is preferred, but attorneys licensed in other U.S. jurisdictions with strong family law experience are encouraged to apply.

• Conduct substantive legal research on complex family law issues
  
• Draft high-quality motions, memoranda, pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents
  
• Assist with legal analysis and case strategy
  
• Review case files and supporting documentation
  
• Provide back-end litigation support to the firm's attorneys
  
• Deliver accurate, well-reasoned work product within established deadlines
  
• Collaborate with the firm's legal team on family law matters
  

• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  
• California licensure preferred, but not required
  
• Minimum of 5+ years of family law experience
  
• Exceptional legal research and persuasive legal writing skills
  
• Extensive experience drafting substantive family law pleadings and motions
  
• Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently meet deadlines
  
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  
• FastCase experience is a plus, but not required
  

• Fully remote position
  
• Approximately 0–5 hours per week with the opportunity for ongoing assignments
  
• Focus on substantive legal research and high-level drafting
  
• Work directly with an established six-attorney law firm

Our Attorney pay rate starts at $80/hour.
