About the Role This position offers the opportunity to build a strong client base, expand your knowledge of HOA and common interest community law, and provide valuable counsel to clients navigating a complex legal environment. You will collaborate closely with attorneys across the firm on a wide variety of matters involving all aspects of homeowners associations and NRS 116.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and edit HOA governing documents including CC&Rs, bylaws, rules & regulations, and policies
- Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to HOA clients
- Interpret and apply corporate law and related legal doctrines
- Draft legal opinions based on client governing documents
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on a variety of legal issues
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure client satisfaction
- Represent clients in mediations, settlement conferences, and negotiations
- Participate in alternative dispute resolution methods when appropriate
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure seamless workflow
- Stay current on changes in laws and regulations affecting HOA and real property practice
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in real property law and/or common interest community law
- Active Nevada Bar admission required
- Strong legal writing and research skills
- Excellent verbal and written client communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and legal research platforms
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously with minimal supervision
- Must be able to pass a background check
