What You’ll Do

As a Workers’ Compensation Associate Attorney at Bader Law, you will play a critical role in managing a substantial caseload while providing high-quality legal representation to clients. This position requires strong litigation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Manage a caseload of approximately 150 workers’ compensation cases.
 • Draft and submit settlement demands with supporting documentation.
 • Negotiate claims with opposing counsel, insurance companies, and other parties.
 • Respond to discovery requests thoroughly and within required timelines.
 • Conduct depositions of clients, witnesses, and experts as necessary.
 • Represent clients during court appearances, including hearings and motions.

  • 0-3 years of workers’ compensation experience
  • A commitment to exceptional client service
  • Top quality writing skills; strong academic credentials
  • Commitment to jury trials and appeals
  • GA Bar license required. (MUST)
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school; admission to the bar of the state in which practicing and in good standing with the bar association
  • Effective supervisory and leadership, organizational and critical thinking, judgment, and decision-making ability
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with a diverse group of clients, attorneys, and staff
  • Ability to demonstrate impeccable integrity in confidential matters.

Establish Leadership:

- Captains must build trust with their team. There needs to be confidence, that the captain is knowledgeable enough to lead the team to success. The captain must want to learn from previous leaders or work to build on the skills that are required for the position, (i.e. a paralegal going to school or a legal assistant learning medical terms). Captains need to believe they are leaders, share their ideas, and listen to others. Most importantly, they need to treat everyone with respect


 

 

Set Expectations:

- Expectations are the idea of how a task is performed. Captains can build a successful team by making expectations clear. Meet with your team to discuss these standards and execute them
 

Build relationships:

- You want to build a safe environment for your team. Your team should feel comfortable enough to come to you. Meet with your team individually and develop your own special bond. Make sure to listen to their ideas and show them that they are a vital part of the team.

 

KPI’s

• 12 settlement demand follow-ups per month.

• 100% settlement packet accuracy

• 10% of caseload demand (work with attorney)

• 7% of caseload settlement (work with the attorney)
