What This Job Will Do
As a Director in Litigation Valuation, you will lead complex litigation engagements, manage key client relationships, and oversee expert testimony preparation. This is a unique opportunity for professionals with deep expertise in forensic valuation, financial damages analysis, and expert witness services to take a leadership role in a high-growth practice area.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage high-profile matrimonial litigation valuation engagements, ensuring technical accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
- Oversee business valuations, forensic investigations, and economic damages analyses for complex legal disputes such as hedge fund and private equity interests.
- Prepare and review expert witness reports, rebuttal reports, and litigation support documentation for trial proceedings.
- Work closely with attorneys, corporate executives, and dispute resolution professionals to develop financial strategies for legal disputes.
- Provide expert testimony support, including financial modeling, damages calculations, and forensic accounting insights.
- Supervise and mentor managers, senior associates, and associates, ensuring best practices in valuation methodologies, forensic analysis, and case preparation.
- Lead business development initiatives, building relationships with law firms, corporate clients, and litigation finance professionals.
- Collaborate with internal real estate, machinery & equipment, and financial valuation teams on multi-disciplinary litigation cases.
- Stay current on legal precedents, industry trends, and regulatory developments impacting litigation valuation methodologies.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business; MBA or JD preferred.
- CFA, CPA, ASA, ABV, or CFE strongly preferred.
- 10+ years in forensic valuation, litigation consulting, or economic damages assessment, including significant client and case management experience.
- Deep knowledge of business valuation methodologies, forensic accounting techniques, and financial modeling for litigation cases.
- Experience preparing and reviewing expert witness reports, rebuttal reports, and economic damages calculations.
- Proficiency in Excel-based financial modeling, lost profits analysis, and industry-specific forensic investigations.
- Strong understanding of litigation finance, expert testimony, and legal proceedings.
- Experience with shareholder disputes, commercial litigation, fraud investigations, and bankruptcy cases.
- Proven ability to lead litigation valuation teams, oversee case strategy, and develop business relationships with law firms and corporate clients.
- Track record of generating new business opportunities, managing client engagements, and expanding litigation valuation services.
- Exceptional ability to present financial findings persuasively in legal settings and support expert testimony preparation.
- Strong analytical writing skills for drafting litigation reports, valuation documentation, and legal financial assessments.
