Currently, we are looking to add a Business Development Representative to our Case Control Department. In this role, the Business Development Representative speaks with potential new clients, screens potential new cases, and converts new leads into signed contracts. This position involves a high level of potential client interaction making strong customer service skills vital to this role. We have amazing training and support, so while legal experience is preferred, it is not required.   


Here are some of the key responsibilities:

  • Gain an ever-growing understanding of the types of cases handled by HLG, including a working knowledge of the firm’s specific criteria for case selection.
  • Oversee and execute each step of the intake process of potential new clients.
  • Receive incoming and make outgoing phone calls to those submitting inquires. 
  • Enter new client information into the firm’s case management software system.
  • Send intake paperwork and complete questionnaires, scheduling home visits or consultations, and handling in-office consultations.
  • Answer client questions and provide general information regarding what the client might expect given the type of case.
  • Track case leads and follow up with clients who do not return their signed forms or those who have not responded to calls or emails.
  • Refer clients we cannot help to another attorney that may be able to assist.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES 

  • Reliability - good attendance and punctuality is imperative to what we do

  • Show professionalism and strong customer service skills - use proper grammar and prioritize client satisfaction while demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  •  High School Diploma or GED required.
