
Administrative Assistant/Legal Assistant
Princeton Management See More Job Openings by This EmployerAs an administrative assistant/legal assistant within the debt collections section of an in-house legal department, you will provide administrative and legal support and be part of a team handling property management collection matters.
Your role will involve assisting attorneys, preparing legal documents, and interacting with property staff to procure documentation. Having an understanding of federal and state debt collection laws and procedures, especially as it relates to landlord tenant matters is helpful but not required. It is also helpful if you have a proven track record of supporting legal professionals in this field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in drafting and organizing legal documents for court filings and hearings.
- Assist with scheduling and calendaring
- Assist with case management matters including data entry
- Conduct skip tracings, research bankruptcy and military status, and prepare demand letters.
- Communicate with property staff to gather documentation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date legal files
- Provide administrative support to attorneys
- Collaborate effectively with the legal team to ensure seamless workflow and client satisfaction
- Exemplify good telephone and interpersonal skills and be well organized.
- Must be a team player who possesses a great work ethic, is professional, self-motivated, is comfortable learning new skills, and takes direction well.

- Associates degree (We are not accepting applications from licensed attorneys or law school graduates)
- Proficiency in software applications
