Job Description

Middle District of Georgia, Macon, GA. The selectee of this position serves as an Adminstrative Officer. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and directing District administrative programs in support of the mission of the United States Marshals Service.

Duties

As an Adminstrative Officer at the GS-0341-13 level, some of your typical work assignments may include:

  • Supervising of a subordinate administrative staff.
  • Executing fund accounting, financial management, and budget actions.
  • Verifying proper usage of funds through fund accounting, financial management, and budget actions.

Salary
  • $105,383 - $137,000/year
Conditions of Employment

Must pass a pre-employment security investigation and drug screening.

May be required to successfully complete a trial/probationary period.

May be required to successfully completed a Supervisory probationary period.

Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.

Status candidates must meet time-in-grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade level).

Qualifications

GS-13 TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 grade level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the experience required for the grade level(s) to which you apply.

You may qualify at the GS-0341-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties successfully of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. You must have at least one year (12 months) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties:

1) Advising management on budgetary matters such as status of funds, acquisition plans, account shortfalls, and/or financial regulation compliance.
2) Developing of comprehensive administrative management plans to identify goals, objectives, administrative processes, and deadlines.
3) Analyzing employee's performance to include training plans, career paths, performance issues, and rewards to meet changing conditions or individual requirement.
4) Providing advice on staffing and recruitment issues.
5) Applying a variety of purchasing regulations, methods, and procedures to acquire services and supplies using purchase orders, blanket purchase agreements, or fixed price negotiated contracts.

There is no education substitution at the GS-13 level.
