Key Responsibilities
- Document Preparation & Organization: Compile, format, and manage legal documents for use in litigation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Record Retrieval & Follow-Up: Contact vendors, financial institutions, and other parties to obtain receipts and supporting documentation related to past transactions.
- Correspondence & Communication: Make persistent yet professional follow-up calls and emails to vendors, suppliers, and other entities, even in cases where prior relationships have ended.
- Data Management: Maintain an organized system for tracking document requests, responses, and outstanding follow-ups.
- Coordination with Legal Team: Work closely with attorneys to identify key documentation needs and deadlines.
- Confidentiality & Compliance: Ensure strict confidentiality of sensitive legal and business information and adhere to all legal and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in legal support, paralegal work, or document preparation for litigation.
- Strong communication and persistence in follow-up efforts.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, legal document management software, and database tracking tools.
- Experience in vendor relations, accounts management, or procurement (preferred but not required).
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with legal discovery processes and document production.
- Experience working in a litigation-focused law firm or legal department.
- Understanding of financial records, invoices, and transactional documentation.
